Mervyn has over 14 years of professional experience in handling tax compliance and tax advisory of industries ranging from construction, property development, manufacturing, services, education, information technology and trading in Malaysia.
He specialises in advising on taxation matters covering areas such as corporate restructuring, initial public offerings, property joint ventures, cross border corporate exercises and others. He has advised on matters relating to corporate tax, stamp duty, real property gains tax, transfer pricing, Goods and Services Tax, withholding tax, double tax treaties, tax incentives, and foreign investments in Malaysia.
In addition, Mervyn has experience in Goods and Services Tax implementation projects for clients from various industries including manufacturing, property development, construction, education, trading and services.
Mervyn is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM). He is also licensed as a tax agent under Section 153 of the Income Tax Act 1967.
